Bio

I employ a variety of field and laboratory methods, along with an interdisciplinary approach, to better understand the transport and transformation of carbon, nutrients, and trace metals across the river鈥搘etland鈥揺stuary鈥揷oastal ocean continuum and the atmosphere.
Research in the Coastal Ecosystem Biogeochemistry Lab focuses on:
Vertical and lateral carbon fluxes in coastal ecosystems, including marshes, estuaries, coastal rivers, and the coastal ocean.
Biogeochemical processes in coastal ecosystems.
Nutrient and trace metal cycling in coastal ecosystems.
